Just Keep Swimming

I'm on a roll. The house is clean, laundry and bedding washed, balanced the check-book (boo! hoo!), paid some bills, caught up on paperwork, and the tree is in the stand. All that is left is like another cabillion other things to do. Sigh.

I'm taking the weekend to try and catch up--oh, and to have some fun too! Make some time to breathe, pallies. I am.

At first glance I thought what a cute little leather pig ornament. But it's really a cat isn't it?

I've been wondering if folks make themselves totally crazy doing all this holiday stuff, and they are tired and grumpy from it all, How is it any fun?

Come and help me get caught-up on chores. Working full-time interferes with my life. I think I had rather float than swim. I'm tired. (weak smile)

Have to tell you, I love that cat ornament! Have some fun for me too this weekend. I've been following house painters around all day, pointing out all the spots they missed. They're not exactly loving me right now.

It's hard to keep swimming this time of the year. Man, there's just so much to do, and it seems like the days are shorter and months not long enough!

Man I am jealous of your laundry and your orderly home. That's my goal today: to tame the laundry beast. I've had my Wheaties and I'm ready for the challenge.

Well it looks like you made a dent in it at least! You'll get through it. By the way, how are your raisin eyes?

I am trying to get everything ready at the house for Kevin while I am gone and myself packed. Didn't get all the work done on the freelance end that I wanted to either... Blah... Keep swimming!

Vanilla--No rest, but lots of things got done this weekend!

Jodi--Damn you, Jodi! I am always jealous of your breaks. And you get to go away with the band too. :)

Chuck--Really?? She inspires me to keep....uh.....swimming!

Grace--It's the dead cat collection. I have ornaments that represent all my kitties. I still have all the ornaments that remind me of my kitties past. This one is Ruth. She was a little chubby.

Jean--Work just gets in the way of everything, Jean. :(

DJ--Ooooh,well, somebody's got to be the heavy. If they painted right the first time, they wouldn't have to deal with you and that pointy finger of yours.

Sherrie- HI, pally! I just want to have fun this time of year and not have to do all this work. Ugh.

Catherine--I'm still swimming! Got a lot done, but there is always more. Ugh.

Sharky--It was to remember my fat kitty, Ruth. Isn't it cute?

Nellie--I'm working on catching up so I can be an actual blogger again. I'm really going to try and catch up with everyone this week. I don't like being this busy. I'm hoping everyone else is busy too and haven't noticed me not being around.

CG--Laundry is the easy one to tackle. It's the damn mall and shopping that I dread.

Nancy--Oh, the raisins are back to grapes--thanks for asking. Whew! I can see again without squinting and Jim (at work) doesn't have to laugh at me anymore. Made a good dent in the list--only a few more things to accomplish.

Stephanie--Darn! You have a TON to do too. :( Just keep swimming, Steph!

Hey, my comment isn't here! I left a comment that I have the exact same ornament. The hubby gave it to me last year. Did Hobbes eat my comment?!
